Ansaruddin Movement, one of the groups in northern Mali, announced that the arresting of the Prime Minister Modibo Diarra by the military opened the door to the peace.
According to a statement by the movement, it was said that Diarra was the one blocking the negotiations and the movement was glad that he was arrested.
Saying that Diarra was supporting military intervention, and the hostile acts towards Azawad people, the statement added he was pro-war.
Mali PM Modibo Diarra resigned after he was arrested by the military junta on Tuesday.
Meanwhile Mali interim President Dioncounda Traore announced that Diango Cissoko, a veteran civil servant, was nominated to the prime ministry.
