At least four people were killed during a gunfight in the Chadian capital late on Wednesday in what authorities said was a failed coup attempt against President Idriss Deby, security sources said on Thursday.
"Between four and eight people were killed in fighting at a military barracks in the east of N'Djamena," one of the police sources said, requesting not to be identified.
Another military source said at least a dozen people were killed in separate clashes in a residential neighbourhood. The military officer said a list of future government officials was discovered there.Last Mod: 02 Mayıs 2013, 16:41
