Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa left Cairo on Thursday following a brief visit to Egypt, his first to the crisis-hit country since the ouster of elected President Mohamed Morsi three months ago.
While in Cairo, the Bahraini monarch held talks with Egyptian interim President Adly Mansour on means of bolstering relations between the two countries, Egyptian presidential sources said.
Egypt's presidency on Wednesday said that King Hamad's visit reflected the two countries' keenness to bolster bilateral relations and step up coordination on issues of common interest.
Bahrain was among the first Arab countries to welcome the Egyptian army's July 3 ouster of Morsi – the country's first democratically-elected leader – following massive and well-coordinated protests against his presidency.Last Mod: 03 Ekim 2013, 22:22
