A Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan) opinion leader and member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Salahuddin Abdul Halem Sultan, was detained at Cairo international Airport before departing for Sudan on Sunday night.
Sultan was banned from leaving Egypt and detained due to the prohibition on his travelling abroad amid ongoing court cases concerning him, sources said.
Meanwhile, Mohammed al-Bishr, former Egyptian Local Minister of Development and a leader of the Brotherhood, was detained last Friday when he tried to fly to Dubai from Cairo airport and released after being kept under surveillance for some time.
