The Egyptian Presidency on Tuesday denied reports about a planned cabinet reshuffle ahead of the country's parliamentary election.
"These reports are untrue," Presidency spokesman Alaa Youssef told reporters in Cairo.
Local media reported a planned cabinet reshuffle that would affect three portfolios in Premier Ibrahim Mahlab's government.
Meanwhile, Youssef said that the date of Egypt's upcoming parliamentary election will be set "once a panel tasked with allocating election districts concludes its work".
The parliamentary election is the third step on Egypt's political roadmap, which was approved by the nation's political forces – except for the Muslim Brotherhood and its allies – the military, and Muslim and Christian religious establishments.
The roadmap was announced upon the ouster of elected president Mohamed Morsi, who hails from the Muslim Brotherhood, on July 3 of last year.
It included a referendum on an amended version of the 2012 constitution and then presidential elections.
