Egyptian President Muhammad Mursi on Wednesday criticized Western countries who supported regimes placing pressure on their peoples for decades.
Speaking at the Korber Foundation in Berlin, Mursi indicated that Western countries helped certain regimes who placed pressure on their own people for years.
Western countries supported regimes placing pressure on their own people in the name of stability and fighting against radical forces, Mursi stated.
"As a result, Western countries gave more importance to their political and economic interests. The demands of the peoples were disregarded. This situation is unacceptable," Mursi stressed.
"We now want dialogue at an equal level. Any side here should not see itself as superior to an other," Mursi also said.Last Mod: 31 Ocak 2013, 10:03
