Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi arrived Pakistan where he is on a formal visit.

Morsi announced, his trip in Pakistan would be a day long.

Morsi travelled to Islamabad upon an invitation of Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari.

In a statement released from the presidency that during the tete-a-tete meetings between two leaders, they would discuss bilateral relations as well as regional topics.

After the meetings between delegations, several agreements are expected to be signed by the two leaders.

Moreover, Morsi will receive a Pakistan state medal at a ceremony which will be held in the presidential palace and the Pakistan NAS University will decorate Morsi with honorary PhD.

The previous presidential visit from Egypt to Pakistan was paid by Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960.
