Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi has accepted an invitation from German chancellor Angela Merkel to visit Europe's largest nation, the state-run news agency MENA reported on Saturday.
Merkel extended the invite to Morsi on Saturday and it was accepted, the agency reported, without specifying when the trip to Germany might take place.
Speaking to Morsi by telephone, MENA said Merkel pledged Germany's support for the Egyptian economy during what she described as the "transition to democracy".
Morsi and Merkel also discussed bilateral relations between Egypt and Germany, the report said.Last Mod: 26 Ağustos 2012, 11:22
