Ethiopian opposition leader Andargachew Tsegie, who had been extradited by Yemen, appeared on state television on Tuesday.
Andargachew Tsegie, second-in-command of Ginbot 7 opposition movement, had been arrested in Sanaa last month and extradited to Addis Ababa.
Looking confused and shaggy, Tsige is shown in a video footage saying "I am very, very tired." He, however, added that "I am at peace with myself".
The broadcaster cited a security source as saying that the opposition leader had been tracked as he transited the United Arab Emirates to Yemen on route to Eritrea.
Tsige, whose movement is labeled a terrorist group by the Ethiopian government, was sentenced to death in absentia for an alleged plot to overthrow the Ethiopian government.
Tsige has been serving as the Secretary General of the organization since it was founded in 2008.Last Mod: 09 Temmuz 2014, 09:53
