Egyptian security forces on Friday extinguished a fire that gutted a police vehicle near the British embassy in Cairo, eyewitnesses have said.
The cause of the fire, which has completely destroyed the vehicle, is not yet known.
Fire fighters have brought the fire quickly under control as security forces around the embassy were placed on alert.
The British has suspended its consular services since Sunday for security reasons.
The Canadian embassy took a similar move on Monday.
