The head of the municipality of Abu Qrain, Mohammad Al-Gali Al-Abdali, where some of the men served, said in a statement Friday said that the armed group abducted six police officers including a lieutenant colonel and a lieutenant.

It is not known where the men are being held or what their fate is, the official added.
