Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan has asked Egypt to prevent the damages caused by the supporters of ousted Libyan leader Moammer Gadhafi.

Zeidan during his visit in Egypt on Friday told a press conference after meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Qandil that he discussed the existence of several supporters of former Gadhafi regime in Libya. Libya-Egypt border security was the most important topic at their meeting, he added.

Zeidan said they signed agreements on education, labor, military cooperation, mutual trade to strengthen the cooperation between Libya and Egypt.

"We have come to Libya to continue the cooperation between us and to say that we will be faithful to the deals between our two countries," he said.

Zeidan also touched on the visa crisis saying that the current visa procedures were due to security reasons after the revolutions which had taken place in both countries and they would offer visa-free travel.

Libya will open a consulate in Sellom city in the northwest of Egypt and in return Egypt will open a consulate in Tabrak city in the northeast of Libya, said Zeidan.

Zeidan, mentioning the Libyan investments in Egypt, said the continuity of the investments was important.
