A senior Somali banker survived a car bomb explosion in Somali capital Mogadishu on Thursday, eyewitnesses said.
An explosive device planted in the car of the Somali Development Bank chairman exploded inside the Horseed University, according to the witnesses. The banker, however, was unhurt in the blast.
There was no claim of responsibility for the blast and Somali authorities have yet to comment.
Somalia has remained in the grip of on-again, off-again violence since the outbreak of civil war in 1991.
The country had appeared to inch closer to stability with the recent installation of a new government and the intervention of African Union troops tasked with combatting Al-Shabaab.Last Mod: 01 Mayıs 2014, 12:29
