A Syrian on Monday succumbed to his wounds while trying to cross Tunisian border with Libya.
"The Syrian man was admitted to hospital with gunshot wounds late Saturday," a hospital source in the south-eastern town of Ben Gardane city told Anadolu Agency.
Four other people were also injured in the failed infiltration attempt, the source said.
A security source, meanwhile, said that Tunisian border guards opened fire on a car on Tunisian-Libyan border when the driver refused to obey orders to stop.
Initial information shows that 14 people aboard a car had tried to cross Tunisian border into Libya.
Over the past two days, Tunisian authorities referred 31 Syrians and four Somalis to court on charges of attempting to cross into Libya from Tunisia.Last Mod: 23 Eylül 2014, 09:38
