Tunisia said it extended its state of emergency till the end of June, 2014.

According to a written statement released from presideny, the state of emergency in Tunisia was decided to be extended regarding an assault which claimed lives of six policemen in central city of Sidi Bouzid and clashes between terrorists and security forces around El-Haanbe mountain.

Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki met with the head of Tunisian Constituent Assembly Mostafa bin-Jaafar, the Tunisian Prime Minister Ali el-Urayyid and other relevant officials, deciding to extend the state of emergency from November 3, 2013 till the end of June, 2014.

The state of emergency, which was initiated in the country in August, 2011, includes curfew, tight controls in day and night, and control of media organs, cinema and theatres.
