Tunisia's national dialogue will resume on April 7, Houcine Abassi, secretary-general of the influential Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) said Monday.
Speaking following talks with Mustapha Ben Jafar, speaker of the National Constituent Assembly, Abassi said the meeting had tackled preparations for the resumption of the national dialogue.
The dialogue initiative was suspended in January following the formation of a new government and the approval of a new constitution.
Abassi said Monday's talks had also focused on means of reaching consensus on several issues, including a proposed election law.
The National Constituent Assembly is expected to approve the draft law, which will regulate upcoming parliamentary and presidential polls, on April 7.Last Mod: 01 Nisan 2014, 09:56
