The Congress for the Republic (CPR), which is also the party of Tunisian president Moncef Marzouki did not accept the "government of technocrats" offer of Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali.

SG of the party, Mohammed Abbou told a press conference on Monday that they abnegate the offer as well, following the footsteps of ruling Al-Nahda Party. He added they had "frozen" withdrawal from Tunisia's coalition for a week.

CPR announced earlier that it would withdraw its ministers in the cabinet.

Tunisian Premier and the Secretary General of the party, Jebali offered the establishment of a technocrat government that would exclude names that cause disunity within the party, following the killing of opposition leader Chokri Belaid. He added he would not run for the upcoming elections and might resign from the Party as well.
