"Occupation of Nagorno Karabakh" petition on White House's website has scored required signatures. The number of signatures on the official website of the White House for the petition on the Nagorno Karabakh occupation by Armenians has reached 100,000.

It is the number required for US President Barack Obama to make a statement about the occupation in Nagorno Karabakh and surrounding provinces.

Placed on the White House website on January 22, the petition was put together by Azerbaijanis living in the US states to attract attention that 20 percent of Azerbaijan territory was occupied by Armenian military.

As a result of Nagorno Karabakh conflict 20 percent of Azerbaijan lands - Nagorno Karabakh and adjacent 7 regions were occupied by Armenian military forces and more than one million Azerbaijani people became refugees and displaced persons.

Azerbaijanis launched a similar campaign last month on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the "Khojaly Genocide" and that petition was also signed by 100,000 people.
