It is possible U.S. President Barack Obama would meet BP Plc officials about the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said on Thursday.
Obama has yet to meet BP Chief Executive Tony Hayward. With Hayward invited to Washington next week to testify at a congressional hearing, Gibbs was asked whether Obama would want to meet the BP boss.
Gibbs told reporters a meeting would not necessarily be with Hayward but said: "I wouldn't rule out a meeting with relevant BP officials."
