Nearly 200 people, including dozens of rabbis and rabbinical students, had come together to protest the Muslim travel ban that saw the arrest of nearly twenty Rabbi's after blocking a street outside President Donald Trump's former home, Trump Tower on Monday
Nineteen rabbis and rabbinical students connected with the liberal Jewish group, T’ruah, were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after deliberately blocking traffic to pray after a march through the city's Upper West Side.
Speaking to the New York Times, Rabbi Jill Jacobs said that he protest was designed to show many Jewish people opposed the ban.
