Smartphone users around the world will now be able to help feed refugee children with a new app developed by the UN's World Food Programme.
The 'ShareTheMeal' app -- launched Thursday -- will allow people to make a minimum $0.50 donation with a tap of their screens.
Even a donation as small as this "will provide a child with vital nutrition for a day," the UN-backed program said.
So far, 1.8 million meals have been shared via the app.
ShareTheMeal is free to download via iOS and Android.
