12 Turkish companies in top 500 of Europe

No Turkish companies were placed in the top 500 of the world in Financial Times' list; however, 12 Turkish companies were included in the top 500 companies in Europe.

Turks among the top 500 companies in Europe are: "Turkcell, Akbank, Enka, İşbank, Garanti, Halkbank, Yapı Kredi, Ereğli, Sabancı Finance, Tüpraş, Finansbank and Koç Holding Finance, Daily Sabah reported.

No Turkish companies were placed in the top 500 of the world in Financial Times' list; however, 12 Turkish companies were included in the top 500 companies in Europe.

According to the world's biggest 500 companies list of Financial Times, US oil giant Exxon Mobile is the first with a market value of $452 billion. Petro China ranked the second with a market value of $423 billion.

In the list of top 500 in Europe, Turkcell ranked the 178th moving 98 steps ahead compared to the last year. Akbank, Enka, İşbank, Garanti, Halkbank, Yapı Kredi, Ereğli, Sabancı Finance, Tüpraş, Finansbank and Koç Holding Finance were also included in the top 500 companies in Europe.
