16 people, including the son of late President Turgut Ozal --Ahmet Ozal-- and Edirne Mayor Hamdi Sedefci, who were detained by Edirne Police in an operation named "Arasta", have been taken to court on Monday.
They are under arrest for crimes ranging from fraud in tenders to bribery and establishing gangs.
Police took tight security measures while the 16 people were brought to the court.
