Gazans enjoyed in mass wedd, ing ceremony in Gaza on Friday.
Many charitable organizations help the Palestinian couples to marry in Gaza. Collective marriages have become a routine event in the Gaza Strip, since many families can no longer afford to put on a wedding for their children.
During a service titled "Ceremonies from the Heart of the Siege," 160 Gazan couples were married in a collective wedding in the northern city of Jabalia on Friday.
The event was organized by the Islamic and Beit Al-Kheir Associations, and was held at the At-Tuffah sport club field. The mayor of Jabalia, Mustafa Al-Qanu' as well as several dignitaries and lawmakers were amongst those who attended the wedding.
The Islamic Association gave each couple a gift of 500 US dollars, and smaller gifts were presented by the municipal council and other organizations, reported Ma'an news agency.

The events put on by government municipalities or charitable organizations reduce substantially the expense to the family, and allow young couples to marry when they otherwise would have had to wait until their financial situation improved.
