The bodies of three Taiwanese servicemen whose helicopter crashed into a radio tower were pulled from the mountaintop structure Wednesday, a day after the accident that killed a total of eight crew.

The bodies of three Taiwanese servicemen whose helicoptercrashed into a radio tower were pulled from the mountaintop structureWednesday, a day after the accident that killed a total of eight crew members.

The Vietnam War-era UH-1H helicopter flew into the radio transmission towernear the southern city of Kaohsiungon Tuesday during bad weather.

The other five bodies were recovered shortly after the accident.

A search-and-rescue team found the final three bodies stuck in the girdersof the tower Wednesday, rescue service spokesman Hsiao Guo-bing said.

On Tuesday, an unidentified witness told Taiwan Radio that the mountaintopwas shrouded by fog as the helicopter approached.

Fog and light rain persisted in the area Wednesday.

The army was investigating the incident.
