Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has said he'll withdraw his forces from West Bank cities unless Israel halts its army raids there, Israel media reported.
Abbas spoke in a meeting Tuesday with legislators from his Fatah movement.
Abbas said he would bring up the issue in a meeting with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Thursday.
An Abbas aide quoted him as saying: "We are going to tell the Israelis ... that if the incursions and the aggression and the insults to the Palestinian police continue, we will withdraw these forces."
The detentions in Nablus is a humiliation for Abbas, who is trying to talk to Israel for peace deal and to advance his own law-and-order drive in the West Bank.
Israeli forces detained a Hamas woman lawmaker on Monday along with 14 managers of a West Bank business.
