Ahmadinejad thanks Turkey's Erdogan as Iranians rally to support
A demonstration took place in Tehran with participation of representatives from associations of undergraduates and NGOs to support to Erdogan.
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad thanked Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his stance during a discussion panel on Gaza on Thursday in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
A message released by Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that Iranian people appreciated Erdogan's stance at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Meanwhile a demonstration took place in Iranian capital of Tehran with participation of representatives from associations of undergraduates and nongovernmental organizations to show their support to Erdogan.
The group chanted slogans saying that "Long Live Erdogan" and "We Support Erdogan".
Prime Minister Erdogan on Thursday walked off the stage at a panel discussion on Gaza at the World Economic Forum in Davos after the moderator interrupted his speech in response to Israeli President Shimon Peres' criticisms and said that he will not attend the Davos meetings in the future.
Erdogan's reaction found support throughout the world, especially in Islamic countries.
