"As a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, I am ashamed to hear some foreigners saying 'This is a fool's errand,'" Firat told reporters.
"Maybe the Constitutional Court would reject the case and end this shame," he said.

AK Party: 'I am ashamed of this case'
Dengir Mir Mehmet Firat, Deputy Chairman of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party, said Monday the closure case filed against the AK Party is "a case against Turkish democracy."
