Deputy head of Turkey's highest court said Thursday that a case filed to shut down the country's ruling party could be settled in four to five weeks.

"The court may finalize the case in four to five weeks time. It may take three weeks or six weeks as well," Osman Paksut, vice-president of the Constitutional Court, told reporters at a reception at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara.
