Al-Aqsa Brigades fires rocket in Israel
A rocket fired from Gaza Strip landed in southern Israel on Thursday, the army said, as Israel and the Palestinians traded blame for violating a week-old ceasefire in the coastal enclave.

The rocket landed near a kibbutz near the border with the Gaza Strip, an Israeli army spokesman said. Israeli medical officials said there were no casualties.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a group belonging to President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction, claimed responsibility for the rocket attack, which followed salvoes on Tuesday after the Israeli army killed two Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

"The rocket attack was in response to Israeli violations. Any calm deal must end Israeli attacks on our people in the West Bank too," said Abu Qusai, spokesman for the brigades.
