Albanians in Serbia want the government to free ex-Kososo fighters to ease an environment that they said the arrests produced insecurity, threatening and terror to the Albanian people in Presevo Valley.

With order of War Crime Court of Serbia, Serbian policies has arrested 10 ex soldiers of Kosovo's Liberty Army (KLA) accused of "what they have done Crimes in Kosovo, in location of Gjilan City", it is said in communication of Belgrade Court.



Serbian special police forces have begun an action, which arrested 10 ex soldiers of Kosovo's Liberty Army (KLA) in Presevo.

They include Agush Memishi, Nazif Hasani, Ahmet Hasani, Faton Hajdari, Samet Hajdari, Kamber Sahiti , Burim Fazliu, Sulejman Sadiku, Ferat Hajdari dhe Fatmir .



According to Serbian Medias," Leaders of Gjilan group" Ali Hajdari, Rexhep Aliu and Shaqir Shaqiri, they live in Gjilan and Serbian police can't arrest them.

According to Serbian Medias, Interior Minister of Serbia Ivica Dacic have declared that "the action had to deal with crimes against Serbian civil people and non-Albanian people in the region of Gjilna (Kosovo), where had been killed 59 Serbian civil people."



According to Dacic, they have arrested 10 person and they have raided 17 buildings.

According to Albanian Medias, in this action, arrests had done in Norca village, in Rahovica village, in Miratoc village, and City of Presevo.



The arrests in Presevo have produced insecurity, threatening and terror to the Albanian people in Presevo Valley and the way of arresting had caused a frighten which is one more reason, for people of this region to leave their homes and go in Kosovo.

During the arrests, Serbian Special forces had shown violence against the women, children and elders, after they raided their homes.



Interior Mnister of Serbia, also the chairman of Serbian Social Party (SPS) Ivica Dacic, was one of the nearest collaborator of Slobodan Milosevic, died waiting for war crimes trial in Hauge in prison.

Riza Halimi, the only Albanian MP in the Serbian Parliament and the leader of the Party for Democratic Action, said that everyone who committed a criminal act must answer for it, but added that the police overstepped their authority while making the arrests.

Also a lot of local institution had already denounced "this irresponsible action of Serbian Forces."



People have protested in front of building of Preseva Municipality, and they asked Serbian government to free their citizens.

Protestors carried slogans supporting ex-fighters, "KLA warriors should not be in prison," and "We want freedom in our territory".

As the Interior Minister Dacic has declared that arrests will continuou these days, the arrests isn't finished yet, it seems that situation in this region would not be quite.

There are going to be new arrests against Albanian people who live in Presevo valley.

Good work! Nobody protested when Serbs were arrested for war crimes. The Serb government went after Serbs and prosecuted them.... why is this any different? If you're a war criminal you should pay the consequences. Simple as that!
