Arab Foreign Ministers will hold an urgent meeting here on Friday, not on Saturday as was previously announced, to discuss the situations in Palestinian areas and Lebanon, an Arab League official said Wednesday night.

Hesham Yusuf, Secretary General Amr Moussa's office chief said Moussa contacted a number of Arab foreign ministers and agreed to meet on Friday.

The top diplomats will be discussing the latest developments in occupied Palestinian territories and the renewal of clashes between Hamas and Fatah, said Yusuf.

The permanent representatives will meet on Thursday morning to discuss the situations in the Palestinian territories and prepare for the Friday ministerial meeting, he added.

Up to 24 Palestinians were killed today to increase number of those killed in clashes between Hamas and Fatah to 64 in addition to 240 injured.

Yusuf said the foreign ministers would also discuss the situation in Lebanon at the political and military levels, said Yusuf.
