The League of Arab States, officially known as the Arab League, has decided to open headquarters in Turkey.

Muhammed Fatih al Nasiri has been appointed as the League’s representative to Ankara, Turkish state TV said on Friday.

Muhammed Fatih al Nasiri, a senior diplomat of Moroccan origin and a strong admirer of the Ottoman culture, will serve as the first representative to Turkey, TRT report said. His tenure will start officially in February.

Turkey’s ambassador to Cairo Huseyin Avni Botsalı hosted a reception in honor of the newly appointed representative who praised Turkey’s recent thaws in the Middle East.
