'Azerbaijan's gas enough for Nabucco'

Matthew Bryza, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, said Azerbaijan's gas is enough to fill a part of the Nabucco and the Turkey-Greece-Italy pipelines.

'Azerbaijan's gas enough for Nabucco'
Azerbaijan is the Unite States' major partner in creating new generation of pipelines, said Matthew Bryza, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, during the "US-Azerbaijan Relations: Energy and Security in a Challenging Region" conference held at the Georgetown University.

Bryza said Azerbaijan's gas is enough to fill a part of the Nabucco and the Turkey-Greece-Italy pipelines.

Russian gas giant Gazprom currently controls 25 percent of European gas supply. Bryza said the intention is not to conflict, but to compete with Gazprom in order to create healthy competition on gas market.
