Turkish FM met with his British counterpart as part of his talks on the sidelines of a security conference in Munich.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan met on Friday with his British counterpart David Milliband as part of his talks on the sidelines of a security conference in Munich, Germany.
The two ministers discussed the recent situation in Gaza Strip after the Israeli offensive, exchanging Turkey's and Britain's views on the issue, a spokesperson for the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
The spokesperson cited Babacan as saying during the meeting that Turkey's priority was to strengthen the ongoing truce in Gaza and to make sure that humanitarian aid be delivered effectively and arms trafficking be halted.
Milliband said his country supported Egypt's efforts for a solid truce in the region, adding that it was important for Palestinians to overcome their differences on the issue.
Milliband also said that Britain attached importance to the Nabucco pipeline project.
Babacan also met on Friday with India's chief security advisor Mayankote Kelath Naranyan and Muhammed El Baradei, head of UN's nuclear watchdog.
