The body of a Turkish teenager killed in an attack in Denmark was brought to Turkey on Friday.

The body of 16-year-old Deniz Ozgur Uzun will be laid to rest in a town of Aegean province of Usak.

Three people attacked Uzun when he was distributing newspapers in Danish capital of Copenhagen on March 21st. Uzun's head was torn into pieces after being hit by a baseball bat and hammer and Uzun died at the hospital of severe brain damage.

Also, Uzun's family, his Lebanese and Pakistani friends and six Danish correspondents arrived in Turkey.

Danish TV-2 News channel broadcast live from house of Uzun's relatives in Usak's Tatar hamlet, whereas Ekstrobladet newspaper, B.T. news agency and Pool Foto Agency's correspondents are covering the funeral with news stories and photographs.

Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan and State Minister Nimet Cubukcu called Uzun's family to express their condolences.

"I want those responsible to be punished," Deniz Ozgur Uzun's mother Gulsen told reporters.

Danish police detained those responsible, whereas Danish people staged protests, laid flowers where the attack was staged, and condemned violence.
