U.S. citizens will be required to obtain a visa to enter Bolivia starting from Wednesday, the Bolivian Foreign Ministry said.
According to news reaching here from La Paz, Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca said the regulation would become effective automatically on Wednesday because it was ready and does not need cabinet or presidential approval.
He also said Bolivian President Evo Morales knows the content of the measure.
Bolivia took the measure as part of its reciprocity arrangement, because Washington demands visas for all Bolivians who visit the Untied States.
