Bosnian PM asks for Turkey help over dialogue atmosphere

Bosnia-Herzegovina's Prime Minister Nikola Spiric attended on Tuesday a working lunch at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Economics and Technology University in Ankara as part of his visit to the Turkish capital.

Speaking at the lunch, Spiric said Turkey and Bosnia-Herzegovina should cooperate more in issues relating to trade and economy in order to realize the full potential of the two countries.

Spiric asked for Turkey's help for creating an environment of dialogue in Bosnia-Herzegovina, adding that the Bosnians had paid a terrible cost in the past.

TOBB Deputy Chairman Faik Yavuz said that the Turkish private sector attached great importance to the improvement of trade and economic ties with Bosnia-Herzegovina, adding that the trade volume between the two countries dropped to 255 million USD in the first nine months of 2009 from a 552 million USD over the same period last year.

"We need to work together harder in order to make an opportunity out of the global crisis," Yavuz said.
