Former Bosnian President Aliya İzzetbegoviç is remembered in Kosova.

Turkey Cooperation and Development Management (TIKA) and AKEA Culture and Education Foundation coordinated a conference for the great thinker in Priştine and Prizren to commemorate the fifth anniversary of his death.



About 200 academic and entellectual talked about Aliya İzzetbegoviç`s ideas and achievements. Participants came from Turkey, Kosova, Bosnia and Macedonia for the conference, which took place in Pristine Grand Hotel.

TIKA`s Kosova representative Kursat Mahmat said that Aliya put his everlasting ideas into practice and those ideas have greater importance for Kosova and Balkans today.


Mahmat stated that it is crucial to remember and keep Aliya İzzetbegoviç`s ideas alive, as well as introduce him to people in the region and in the world.



During the opening ceremony, President of Kosova Theology Faculty Cemal Morina and Yeni Pazar Mufti Avdo Zukariç talked about the conference`s significance, as well.

Participants of `Aliya İzzetbegovic between the East and the West Conference' have narrated great thinker`s ideas, and talked about how his ideas could be understood better in today`s world. The conference is said to have great importance for the future of Balkans.



The two day-Aliya Conference started with Akif Emre`s documentary and interview of Aliya İzzetbegoviç.

World Bulletin editor-in-chief Akif Emre also gave a presentation about the former Bosnian President.

lately a book of this great philosopher was given to albanian language speakers,now albanians have a better chance to catch the personality of this man due to a turkish foundation. thank you so much
