Brazil's veteran defender Roberto Carlos played his last game with Fenerbahce on Thursday night, helping his team to win a 1-0 victory over Moldova's Sheriff in UEFA Europa League Group (H) match in Istanbul.

Team mates gave Carlos a goodbye shower after the match as Fenerbahce fans chanted "I love you Carlos," giving him a standing ovation.

Carlos, 36, signed for Fenerbahce from Real Madrid in 2007. He recently revealed that he penned a two-year deal with Corinthians of Sao Paulo.

In their last match in group stage, Fenerbahce qualified to the round of 32 as group leaders with 15 points after their fifth straight win in European games.

The draw for the second and the third rounds of games in UEFA Europa League is set be made on Friday in Nyon, Switzerland.

Fenerbahce's possible opponents for the second and third rounds include Ajax, Lille, Hamburg, Hertha Berlin, Fulham, Panathinaikos, Villarreal, Everton, Club Brugge, FC Kopenhag ve Athletic Club.
