Bulgaria's highest court on Tuesday ruled to invalidate part of votes cast in Turkey in last July's general elections in Bulgaria.
Citing a number of "irregularities" in the voting procedures after a recount of votes cast in Turkey, the Bulgarian Constitutional Court invalidated nearly 19 thousand votes out of 93 thousand votes in 23 polling stations.
The rule came as a bad news for the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), supported mainly by Bulgarian nationals of Turkish-descent, as the movement lost one MP. The number DPS seats at the parliament dropped to 37 after the court rule.
DPS MP from Dobrich province Rushen Riza's seat will be replaced by a member of the ruling party, GERB.
The appeal for recount of Turkey votes was made by the conservative Order, Law and Justice Party.
