Speaking to reporters on the international conference titled "Turkey After 2008" and held in New York, Hisarciklioglu told that military relations between Turkey and the United States have always been at the highest level.
"However, we can not say the same thing for economic relations. There are only two American financial corporations active in Turkey. This fact does not show the actual potential of the United States in Turkey," Hisarciklioglu noted.
"We would like to see the actual potential of the United States in Turkey. We want to see more U.S. investors and capital in Turkey," Hisarciklioglu stressed.
We organized the international conference in New York to show to the U.S. investors the opportunities in Turkey, Hisarciklioglu stated.
Asked about the case for the closure of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party, Hisarciklioglu emphasized "in order for democracy to flourish, we need political parties. Easy closure of political parties would harm Turkish democracy. The establishment and closure of political parties must be decided by the people."
