The head of Turkish-Croatian Business Council said on Tuesday that Turkey should not see Croatia as a rival in tourism and it should export its "know-how" and skills in such sector to this country.
Speaking to A.A, Turkish-Croatian Business Council chairperson Cagatay Ozdogru said that a synergy could be created between the two countries if Turkish entrepreneurs participated in tourism investments in Croatia.
"Croatia is open and hungry for such cooperation. We can open branches of the hotels in our southern region or build similar resorts in Croatia," Ozdogru said.
Ozdogru also said that his council planned take a group of tourism investors from Turkey to Croatia in September.
Noting that Croatia had previously expressed its will to open the European markets to Turkey, Ozdogru said Turkish ships could use Croatian ports while travelling to EU countries.
Ozdogru also said that numerous infrastructural projects were being carried out in Croatia currently and Turkish firms could participate in various phases of such projects.
