Croatian prime minister said Wednesday his country was willing to improve cooperation with Turkey in every field including transportation, defense, as well as in efforts for stability in Southeast Europe.
"I am very happy to have fruitful talks and we would like to improve our bilateral relations further with Turkey," Ivo Sanader told a joint press briefing with his Turkish counterpart in capital Ankara.
Sanader said Croatia supported Turkey's membership in the European Union, and he thanked for the Turkish support for his country's accession bid with NATO.
The visiting premier said Croatia was talking with Slovenia in order to overcome a number of border issues, which he said should not be an obstacle for Croatia's membership in the EU.
