Cuban President Raul Castro will arrive in Moscow on Wednesday on an official visit until Feb. 4, Interfax news agency reported on Monday, citing the Kremlin.

Moscow was Havana's main benefactor during the Cold War and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Cuba last year was seen as a sign that Russia seeks to rekindle the alliance that was abandoned after the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union.

Russia is considering a $20 million loan to Cuba, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said last week, adding that the money would be spent on buying Russian goods.
