A custodial judge in Kolding on Sunday sentenced the leader of the small Danish neo-Nazi party DNSP, Jonni Hanson, to eleven days in custody for attacking the police.
Hansen had taken part in Saturday's annual march to commemorate the anniversary of the death of Rudolf Hess - the deputy of German dictator Adolf Hitler at the head of the Nazi party - who died on August 17, 1987 in the Berlin Spandau prison for war criminals.
Officials at the German-Danish border near Pattburg rejected around 50 German right-wing extremists who were planning to take part in the march.
During the riots police in Kolding arrested both participants in the march as well as counter-protesters from the radical left.
