Upon expected visit of US President George W. Bush on Sunday, Bulgarian cities witnessed demonstrations during which participants lashed out at globalization.
Some demonstrators, representing the Palestinians community, held banners that called for US military bases' withdrawal, while spokesmen underscored the demonstrations were not addressed to the American people, but against America's foreign policy under Bush's administration.
The demonstrators accused the US president of being a "war monger," and rejected the presences of any US military base on their land.
The protesters also demanded the withdrawal of Bulgarian military forces, serving as part of the Multi-National Forces (MNF) in Iraq.
No violent troubles occurred between the protesters and the security forces.
