Egypt allows aid to Gaza via Israeli-controlled crossing
The Karam Abu-Salem border crossing, where the borders of Egypt, Israel and Gaza meet, is about 14 kilometres south of the Rafah border between the Strip and Egypt.

Egypt has previously allowed relief aid into Gaza, and wounded Gazans to pass into Egypt via the Rafah border crossing which is controlled by Hamas.

Scores of Palestinians were killed and wounded in Israeli attacks launched on the Gaza Strip last week.

Israel has also imposed a blockade on the territory.
