Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that Justice & Development (AK) Party executives would prepare their defense in the case filed by Supreme Court's Chief Prosecutor with a call to shut down AK Party.
Erdogan responded to the questions after taking the floor at the Swedish International Relations Institute.
Responding to a question, Erdogan said, "a legal process has started in Constitutional Court. The Court will fulfill its duty and we will prepare our defense."
Erdogan refrained to make further comment, noting that there was a legal process going on.
Erdogan said AK Party government considered maintenance of democratic and economic stability as a primary matter, indicating that Turkey became the 17th biggest economy of the world.
