Erdogan: No problem between Turkey-Iraq in combatting PKK

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that there was no problem between Turkey and the Iraqi central administration in the fight against the PKK.

Prime Minister Erdogan told reporters after attending a ceremony at Ankara's Sheraton Hotel to award the 23 Turkish contractors who were listed among the "Top 225 International Contractors" in an annual report prepared by "Engineering News Record" magazine, "there is no problem between Turkey and the Iraqi central administration in the fight against the PKK terrorist organization. The Iraqi government is not the side of the issue of laying down arms. Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, during his talks in Ankara yesterday, expressed the same thing. He considers our operation a right under the fight against terrorism."

Replying to another question about upcoming local elections, Prime Minister Erdogan said that they would reveal names of their candidates on Sunday.
